The problem of evil [en.wikipedia.org] (or theodicy) in general, and the logical and evidential arguments from evil in particular contest the existence of a god who is both omnipotent and omnibenevolent by arguing that such a god would not permit the existence of evil, which can easily be shown to exist.

Evil exist for one reason:
To make non evil better.
Think about it. If you could have all the chocolate bars (Or anything else you enjoy) in the world all the time, whenever you wanted, how long would it take before you would tire of the chocolate bars or no longer find pleasure in them? Evil is the Ying to Good's Yang. Without evil, good has no meaning.
Evil also exist for another reason. To test one's morality and faith. Take the easy way, have no faith or morality and evil quickly finds you.
