It is illogical to pick and choose from the various tales in the gospels to support desired views of Jesus. If you would like to know more about this field of study, I suggest reading one of the many books on the historical life of Jesus. The Historical Jesus by E.P. Sanders is a favorite of mine. -

It is written by several different authors, and yes very small details are different, but the overall theme and meaning of the books explain the same story. He was born through a virgin mother, he grew up, he performed miracles, he claimed he dead for our sins. People claim he rose after 3 days. Show me one book in the bible that says any different.
