Freedom of religion is a natural right, and that freedom is backed by the 1st ammendment to the U.S. Constitution. "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion.." [link] The founding fathers forbid the law of the land to respect the words in the bible. While natural morals and religion might overlap in certain areas, the Constitution is in no way based on the bible. It has to reject all religions in order to protect minority religions from the majority. Government is force; it shouldn't be used to oppress minority faiths.
