We have the technology to use strong encryption to protect our privacy and data, we just aren't using it. When there becomes a stronger public attention of violations of privacy, I think more people will result to encryption like PGP or GNU Privacy Guard.

As people become more reliant on web applications like google and debatepoint, their info is stored and tracked on the servers. Google, for instance, has a record of all your searches and can link this information with your email if you use a gmail account.
As the administrator of debatepoint.com I don't keep any records of the user except your login,encrypted password, and possibly an email address if supplied. |
